In my studio practice I explore interactions between my personal experiences and the influences of time. In a world with many distractions, my work is profoundly influenced by minimalism and a life lived by the sea; this is reflected through my choice of colour, texture, and contrast.
Every piece I make starts with an idea or an experience. When I create, I am completely immersed in the process. Every line, and every detail in a composition is a balancing act. I have a profound appreciation for design and enjoy playing with abstracted ideas in my work to highlight the simple yet beautiful characteristics found in nature that are often overlooked. By incorporating these elements into my work, I hope to bring that sense of calmness into the spaces they inhabit.
Projects in the past have explored themes surrounding interaction, time, and place. My most recent project focuses on the concept of the word horizon itself, and how it knows no bounds.
